Town of Schaghticoke
Trash & Recycling
Curbside pickup, monthly Clean-Up Days, paint recycling, and who to call with questions.
Curbside pickup
Reminder from County Waste: Place your cans out the night before pickup — drivers sometimes start the route early, and cans that aren’t curbside get missed.
Yard waste: County Waste picks up yard waste on Mondays, April through November. Use appropriate yard waste bags or bins. (Remember: burning leaves is illegal everywhere in New York — curbside pickup is the way to go.)
New to town, or not sure of your pickup day? Contact the Town Clerk's office and we'll get you set up — your trash day, the dos and don'ts of what can go out and what can be recycled, yard waste, and Clean-Up Day questions. Need a new garbage or recycling can? We can help with that too.
